Installation and servicing of air conditioning equipment can be hazardous due to refrigerant pressure and live electrical components. Only trained professionals should handle installation or servicing to avoid property damage, injury, or death. Do not store flammable materials near the unit.
CAUTION
Installation must comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards in the U.S., or Canadian Electrical Code (CSA) in Canada. Local regulations take precedence over this manual.
Unit Dimensions & Installation
The unit is designed for outdoor use with sufficient clearance for airflow and service access. It must be installed on a solid, level foundation, elevated at least 3” above ground to prevent ice accumulation. Avoid placing the unit near quiet areas or walkways.
Electrical Wiring
All wiring must comply with national and local codes. Use copper conductors and ensure proper grounding. The unit is factory-wired for 230V; for 208V, adjust the transformer connection.
Duct System
Design ducts according to ACCA guidelines. Ensure proper sealing and avoid obstructions in the outdoor air stream. The unit supports horizontal or downflow duct configurations.
Filters & Maintenance
Air filters are not included; install field-provided filters ahead of the evaporator coil. Clean or replace filters monthly. Regularly inspect and clean the evaporator and condenser coils to maintain efficiency.
Defrost System
The defrost system monitors outdoor coil temperature and initiates defrost cycles based on frost accumulation or time intervals. Ensure proper sensor placement and calibration for optimal performance.
Warranty & Service
The unit comes with a 10-year limited warranty. For service, contact qualified professionals. Regular maintenance ensures long-term reliability and efficiency.
Performance & Diagnostics
Refer to performance tables for cooling and heating values. Use diagnostic LEDs to troubleshoot issues like pressure switch faults or defrost system errors.
Safety First
Always shut off power before maintenance. Follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage. For detailed instructions, consult the manual or a qualified technician.
